Kamal Ahmed, Editor-in-Chief and Co-Founder of The News Movement (TNM), talks about the development their Gen Z focused news brand which combines journalistic rigor with innovative storytelling techniques. TNM started out with the belief that a different style of content creation would help a young audience be better informed - how is this working out? Until 2021 Kamal was Editorial Director of BBC News, working across news strategy, daily news and planning, commissioning, analysis, visual and audio journalism and new forms of digital content. Between 2016 and 2018 Kamal was Economics Editor at BBC News. Prior to the BBC, he had a distinguished career in print media at The Telegraph Group and The Observer. He was also Group Director at the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
